What this chapter covers

This chapter covers plaits and similar products of plaiting materials together with basketware and wickerwork. "Plaiting materials" are materials in a state or form suitable for plaiting or interlacing: straw, osier and willow, bamboo, rattan, rushes and reeds, strips of wood and of vegetable material, unspun natural textile fibres, monofilament and strip of plastics, and strips of paper. Goods qualify whether they are shaped directly from these materials or made up from the plaits of heading 46.01.

1. Bu fasılda " örülmeye elverişli madde " tabirinden; örülmeye, birbirine geçmeye ve benzeri işlemlere

uygun durumdaki veya şekildeki maddeler anlaşılır; bu tabir hasır, söğüt veya sepetçi söğüdü sürgünleri,

bambuları, benekli hint kamışını , saz saplarını, kamışları, ağaç şeritlerini, bitkisel maddelerden şeritleri

(ağaç kabuğu şeritleri, dar yapraklar,rafya veya yayvan yapraklardan kesilen şeritler gibi), iplik haline

getirilmemiş dokumaya elverişli tabii lifleri, plastikten monofilament ve şerit ve benzerlerini ve kağıttan

şeritleri kapsar, fakat deriden veya terkip yoluyla elde edilen deriden veya keçeden veya dokunmamış

mensucattan şeritleri, insan saçını, at kılını, dokumaya elverişli fitil veya iplikleri veya 54. fasılda yer alan

monofilamentleri, şeritleri ve benzerlerini kapsamaz.
