What this chapter covers

This chapter covers metal ores and their concentrates, together with slag, ash and residues containing metals or arsenic. Under the notes, an "ore" is a mineral of a mineralogical species actually used in the metallurgical industry to extract the metals of Sections XIV and XV, the metals of heading 28.44, or mercury; it keeps that character even when the particular consignment is destined for a non-metallurgical use. Minerals subjected to processes not normal to the metallurgical industry, however, fall outside headings 26.01 to 26.17. Heading 26.20 is limited to slag, residues and ash used industrially to extract metals or arsenic or to manufacture their chemical compounds, while residues from the incineration of municipal waste belong to 26.21.

1. Aşağıda yazılı olanlar bu fasıla dahil değildir:

2. 26.01 ila 26.17 pozisyonlarının tatbikinde " metal cevheri " tabirinden, metalurji maksadı ile kullanılmasalar

2. Arsenik, civa, talyum veya bunların karışımlarını içeren ve arsenik veya adı geçen metallerin çıkarılması

veya bunların kimyasal bileşiklerinin üretilmesinde kullanılmaya mahsus artık, cüruf ve küller, 2620.60 alt

pozisyonunda sınıflandırılırlar.
